A train en route to Sofia from Bulgaria's southwest has collided with a freight truck, leaving two Polish citizens injured.

No passengers of the train have been left injured. The two Poles, who drove the truck, have been taken to hospital.

The incident took place near the village of Mursalevo, nearly halfway through to the capital, at 19:00 EET (17:00 GMT).

A landslide triggered minutes earlier apparently caused the truck to fall down on the railroad parallel to the European Route E79, Darik Radio reports.

The train was just passing at that time was unable to stop promtply. The two vehicles collided and were set ablaze.
